Is it Peter Joel or Peter Hall?

My middle name is Joel. My last name is Hall and my first name is Peter. My company (which consists of me) is called peterjoel interactive media. I don't mind being referred to as either. That is, most definitely, the number one question I get asked, and its nice to clear it up for ever.

What's Team Macromedia?

It is a group of volunteers, who hang around in the Macromedia software communities. It means I like Macromedia and they like me too. [ http://www.macromedia.com/go/team ]

What is this site all about?

This site started out as a self-promotional thing, but I never really got around to that. I started using the domain as a dumping ground for example files, which I made to help users of the Flash support forums.

My blog is the best thing I ever did. It lets me say to the world whatever is on my brain and stops me from forgetting the new things I find out in the world of Flash.

Why does peterjoel.com look 'wrong' on my computer?

Assuming you are not criticising my design skills, it's probably because this site has only been tested in the latest versions of Internet Explorer and Netscape. By all means tell me about it, but I don't promise to care if you are still using a browser older then IE5 or NS6.

Why can't I download your example FLAs?

Probably because you are using a Mac and the files are authored on PC. It's to do with forks, or something like that. Anyway, to download the file, hold down the CTRL key and click then select "download link to disc". (Or so I am told).

What do you do for a living?

I build Flash components, online and offline Flash applications. I troubleshoot other people's Flash projects. I consult. I program in ActionScript. But mostly I just do Flash.
